We represent professionals in a wide range of endeavors who have been subjected to lawsuits or administrative discipline for alleged misconduct including professional negligence, intentional misrepresentation (fraud), negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of Administrative Code regulations and statutes such as the New Mexico Unfair Practices Act.  We work closely with our professional-liability clients, not only to defend them against claims, but to help them understand their rights and obligations, and the real meaning of the legal or administrative processes to their lives and their work.  Professional liability claims come in many forms, and involve a wide variety of legal theories.  Our experienced attorneys are familiar with the tactics used against professionals, as well as the wide range of avenues available to resolve such claims, including negotiated or mediated settlement, legal proceedings to win the dismissal of claims or the reduction or elimination of damages.  When necessary, we will take professional-liability cases to trial, in order to secure a just result, but regardless of the means of resolution, we always endeavor to minimize the impact of claims on our clients’ lives, finances and practices.
